Resume Sharing

Share Your Resume With a Link, and Choose What Is Visible

Send one link instead of a stale attachment. Hide your name, contact details, company names or education first, and switch the link off whenever you like.

Why emailing PDFs is a problem

Old attachments keep circulating long after you updated your resume.

You cannot ask a friend for feedback without handing over your phone number and email.

Posting a resume publicly exposes details that scrapers and spammers love.

Once a file is out there, you cannot take it back.

Sharing that you stay in control of

Every shared resume has its own link and its own privacy settings.

One link, one clean page

Share a read-only page of your resume with a short link, in place of an attachment that gets forwarded around.

Hide what you want private

Hide your name, email, phone, LinkedIn, website, GitHub, company names, education or personal projects, with a preview of what will be hidden.

Turn the link off

Deactivate a shared link at any time and it stops working.

Let a friend copy it

People you share with can clone the resume into their own CoreCV account to suggest edits or use it as a starting point.

Share your resume in three steps

  1. 1

    Open your resume

Create a resume in CoreCV, or upload an existing one.

  2. 2

Click Share and pick what to hide

Choose which details stay private. Check the preview of hidden items.

  3. 3

    Copy the link

Send it to a mentor, a recruiter or a friend. Deactivate it when you are done.

Hidden details are removed from the shared snapshot. Anyone with the link can view the visible parts, so only share it with people you trust.

Frequently asked questions

Can I share my resume without my name or contact details?

Yes. Before sharing, you can hide your name, email, phone number, LinkedIn, website and GitHub links, company names, education and personal projects.

Can I stop sharing later?

Yes. You can deactivate a shared link from your shared resumes list, and the link stops working.

Do I need an account to share a resume?

You need a free CoreCV account to create and manage shared links. People who open a link do not need one to view it.

Does the shared page update when I edit my resume?

No. A shared link shows a snapshot of your resume, with your privacy settings applied, taken when you created the link. After you make edits, create a new link and deactivate the old one.

Can someone copy my resume?

Shared resumes can be cloned into another CoreCV account. The clone contains only what the shared page shows, so hidden details are not copied.
